Full Mouth Reconstruction
"Full mouth reconstruction" is not a single treatment, but a comprehensive treatment plan for patients whose overall dental condition is very poor or who have almost no teeth left. It integrates multiple treatment methods, such as dental implants, periodontal disease treatment, and denture prosthetic restoration, with the goal of rebuilding full-mouth biting function, restoring chewing ability, and also taking aesthetics into account.
Dental implants
Dental implants are a treatment option for replacing one or more missing teeth and are considered the option currently closest to natural teeth. The implant procedure involves placing a titanium "artificial tooth root" into the original position of the tooth. After the bone has healed, a denture crown is then attached. In addition to restoring chewing function, this can also help prevent alveolar bone loss caused by missing teeth.
Sedation dentistry
"Sleep dentistry" is a way for patients who feel extremely fearful or anxious about dental treatment to receive care in a light sleep state. Throughout the entire procedure, an anesthesiology specialist will administer sedative medication through intravenous injection, allowing the patient to remain in a light sleep state—conscious throughout but without anxiety. After waking up, patients usually will not remember the treatment process, making dental visits much more relaxed.
Prosthodontic Restoration
Prosthodontic restoration is the technique of making dentures for patients with missing teeth. It covers a wide range of treatments, including common crowns (single-tooth prostheses), bridges, and removable dentures for complete tooth loss. Based on the number and location of missing teeth, as well as the condition of the surrounding teeth, the dentist will choose the most suitable type of denture to restore the patient's bite and appearance.
Teeth Whitening
"Teeth whitening" uses whitening agents to lighten stains on the tooth surface and restore the teeth's whiteness. There are 2 common types of treatment: one is in-office whitening, performed by the dentist using a higher-concentration whitening agent with light activation for fast and noticeable results; the other is at-home whitening, for which the dentist makes custom trays so the patient can use a lower-concentration whitening agent at home, resulting in a gentler effect.
Veneers
"Whitening veneers" are a minimally invasive cosmetic dental treatment that improves the appearance of teeth by bonding thin ceramic or resin shells to the tooth surface. They can not only whiten teeth, but also restore tooth shape and conceal minor gaps or chipped edges. This option is suitable for patients who want to quickly improve the appearance of their front teeth and achieve a perfect smile.
